Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and energetic Barback to support our busy hospitality environment. The ideal candidate will assist bartenders and staff by maintaining the bar area, ensuring supplies are stocked, and providing excellent service to guests. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about the hospitality industry, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences. Previous experience in food preparation, restaurant operations, or hotel environments is advantageous but not essential. A friendly attitude and strong communication skills are vital to succeed in this dynamic position.

Responsibilities

Restock bar supplies including glasses, garnishes, and beverages to ensure smooth service during busy periods
Assist bartenders with preparing ingredients and basic food items as needed
Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including cleaning glasses, utensils, and work surfaces
Support in setting up and clearing down the bar at the start and end of shifts
Monitor stock levels and communicate replenishment needs to management promptly
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
Provide excellent customer service by engaging politely with guests and responding to their needs efficiently
Assist in serving food or beverages to guests when required
Collaborate effectively with team members to create a welcoming atmosphere

Qualifications

Previous experience in hospitality, restaurant service, or hotel environments is preferred
Knowledge of food preparation and bar operations is advantageous
Excellent communication skills with a friendly and professional manner
Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy hours
Experience in serving or barista roles is a plus but not essential
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt within a team environment
