Full job description

Overview

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Warehouse Operative/Forklift Driver/ Bendi Driver to join our team. This role involves managing materials, operating forklift trucks, and supporting efficient warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of warehouse management systems, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to handle heavy loads safely. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with warehouse experience looking to develop their skills within a dynamic environment.

Duties

Operate forklift trucks and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently
Load and unload goods from lorries, containers, and storage areas
Manage stock levels using warehouse management systems (WMS)
Assist with shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accurate documentation
Handle materials carefully to prevent damage during movement or storage
Organise stock storage areas for optimal space utilisation
Conduct regular safety checks on equipment and work areas
Support inventory counts and cycle counts as required
Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the warehouse environment

Skills

Proven experience in warehouse operations and material handling
Valid forklift licence with experience operating various types of forklifts
Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control procedures
Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic repairs on equipment
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
Basic mathematical skills for stock counting and data entry tasks
Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
Physical fitness to stand for extended periods and perform manual handling tasks
