Overview
Weston Manor Hotel is seeking a skilled and reliable Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team. This role is responsible for managing a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring high standards of food preparation, presentation, and hygiene are consistently maintained.
You’ll play a key role in delivering a high-quality dining experience across the hotel’s restaurant, events, and private functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of a designated kitchen section (e.g. grill, larder, pastry)
- Prepare, cook, and present dishes to a consistently high standard
- Ensure all food is prepared in line with recipes and portion controls
- Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in daily kitchen operations
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of your section at all times
- Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and stock rotation
- Train and support Commis Chefs and junior kitchen staff
- Ensure compliance with food safety (HACCP) and health & safety regulations
- Assist with menu development and seasonal changes where required
- Work efficiently during busy service periods, including events and functions
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or strong Demi CDP ready to step up
- Experience in a hotel or high-volume kitchen environment preferred
- Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Good organisational and communication skills
- Team-oriented with a positive, proactive attitude
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
Desirable
- Culinary qualifications (NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent)
- Experience with banqueting or events service
- Passion for fresh, seasonal ingredients
