We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Quality Technician to join our Quality Assurance team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a high-tech manufacturing environment, supporting the production of advanced Indium Phosphide semiconductor wafers and chips.
As a Quality Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring products meet quality standards, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and helping maintain compliance with ISO9001 and customer requirements.

Perform quality assurance activities across manufacturing operations.

Verify product quality and ensure compliance with specifications.

Support the Quality Engineer with quality control activities.

Conduct routine process audits, ESD audits, and verification activities.

Assist with corrective and preventive action (CAPA) management.

Complete shop floor inspections, spot checks, and process monitoring.

Drive and support continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Support customer and internal quality audits.

Assist with site calibration activities.
-
Carry out Goods In and Goods Out inspections.

Support the internal audit programme.

Monitor and support change control activities.

Develop and update QA work instructions and documentation.

Experience carrying out quality audits.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Knowledge of ISO9001 Quality Management Systems.

Competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint).

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

BTEC ONC/OND in Electronic or Mechanical Engineering (or similar), or 3–5 years' experience in a Quality Assurance role within manufacturing.

Calibration experience.

Experience working in a cleanroom environment.

Knowledge of SAP, Agile, PROMIS, or similar manufacturing systems.

A team player with excellent interpersonal skills.

A proactive and target-driven approach.

Ability to integrate quickly into an established team.

Willingness to work rotating early and late shifts (Monday–Friday).

Due to the rural location of the site, a full driving licence and access to your own transport is essential.
