Reinsurance Technician (XOL)
We are seeking a talented individual to join our Client Services Support team at Guy Carpenter. This role will be based in Witham. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
As a XOL Technician, you will support our LAC client base through transactional processing, securing reinsurance recoveries through timely and accurate system entry.
Although Reinsurance experience would be advantageous, we are considering candidates with proven Insurance premium/claims or underwriting backgrounds who can demonstrate a desire to embark on a career in Reinsurance.
We will count on you to:
Manage an assigned client portfolio, taking full responsibility of technical duties relating to client accounts, premiums and claims
Work with Market Fiduciary to assist with collection of funds
Manage all XOL post, brokerage receivables, funding, retention, e-trading, ad hoc reporting requests, and all transactional process steps
Promote, build and maintain relationships with Brokers, Clients and Markets
Participate in training sessions, and provide input within the team and/or department for all aspects of reinsurance service processing to assist with troubleshooting
What you need to have:
Excess of Loss contract knowledge
Understanding of how to process Excess of Loss premium and claims
Ownership and accountability for client claims from first advice to final settlement
Utilisation of IMR, ECF and Bureau systems
Coordination of query resolution
Competent Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications.
Willingness to learn and develop knowledge of technical account structure.
Successful management of workload; with an ability to manage expectations.

Experience of working in a technical capacity for a Broker
Knowledge of CLASS system is useful for review of London market queries
Knowledge of Letters Of Credit and the Citibank process
