Job Title: Experienced Kitchen Porter (KP)
We are looking for a powerhouse Kitchen Porter to join our back-of-house team. This isn't just about washing dishes; it’s about being the engine room of a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen. If you thrive under pressure and take pride in keeping a workspace clinical and organized, we want to meet you.
The Role
As our KP, you’ll be responsible for maintaining the flow of the kitchen during peak services. You aren’t just "cleaning"—you are ensuring the chefs have the tools they need to deliver world-class food without a hitch.
Key Responsibilities
- Station Management: Efficiently manage the dishwashing station, ensuring a constant supply of clean plates, cutlery, and glassware.
- Deep Cleaning: Maintain hygiene standards across the kitchen, including floors, surfaces, and heavy-duty equipment (fryers, ovens, etc.).
- Organization: Assist with basic food prep and the unloading/storage of deliveries, ensuring everything is rotated correctly (FIFO).
- Safety & Hygiene: Strictly adhere to COSHH and Health & Safety regulations to maintain a safe environment for the whole team.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: At least 3 years of experience in a high-volume, professional kitchen.
- Stamina: You’re comfortable on your feet for long shifts and can handle the physical nature of the job.
- Speed & Focus: You can keep your cool when the tickets are flying and the pot wash is piling up.
- Team Player: You have a "no task is too small" attitude and a proactive approach to helping the chefs.
Why Join Us?
- Staff meals provided on shift.
- Opportunities to progress into prep or line cook roles for those with the ambition.
