We are currently recruiting for a Quality Assistant / PDI Inspector to join our on site Quality team.
The purpose of this role is to ensure that all cabinets and manufactured components leaving the factory meet our quality control standards. The successful candidate will carry out inspections, identify any non-conformances, and work closley with the relevent departments and senior QA to ensure appropriate corrective actions are implemented and quality standards are consistently maintained.
Key Tasks
- Carrying out relevant PDI checks in all departments ensuring that products are manufactured to the highest quality and in line with customer’s specifications and drawings
- Report to the relevant member of the Projects team any shortages or defects in order to decide if a quality concession is necessary
- Report to Group Quality Manager any quality errors regarding factory parts or equipment.
- Support in the reduction and elimination of rejects.
- Input cabinet warranty information on asset database
- Prepare and despatch test certification/O&M manual(s) for customer and PM’s as requested
- To collate KPI report data as required
- To assist in technical data collection as required for the relevant department or customer
- To assist in the calibration of PAT testers and other equipment
- To ensure Health and Safety standards are met
- Ensure Data Loggers have sufficient battery life and are cleared ready for the next cabinet test
- Ensure Data logger results are recorded and graphs checked for correct performance
Experience/Skills Needed
- Previous experience of working within a manufacturing environment
- Good Technical knowledge of all the aspects involved in the manufacturing and refurbishment process.
- Knowledge of Customer Specifications
- Knowledge and use of basic measuring equipment
- Knowledge of Cabinets
Work Pattern
Monday - Friday 07:30 - 14:30 (40hrs per week)
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £28,000.00-£31,000.00 per year
