About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Workshop Controller to oversee the daily operations of our busy workshop. You will play a key role in ensuring work is completed efficiently, on time, and to the highest standards, while supporting both the workshop team and customer service function.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and coordinate all workshop activities and workflow
Allocate jobs to technicians based on skillset and workload
Monitor job progress and ensure deadlines are met
Maintain high standards of quality control and health & safety
Liaise with service advisors and customers regarding progress updates
Ensure accurate completion of job cards and workshop documentation
Control productivity levels and workshop efficiency
Support and motivate the workshop team to achieve targets
About You
Proven experience as a Workshop Controller, Senior Technician, or similar role
Strong automotive technical knowledge
Excellent organisational and leadership skills
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
Strong communication and customer service skills
Good IT skills and familiarity with workshop management systems
Full UK driving licence
Desirable
Manufacturer training/experience
Experience using dealer management systems
