Receptionist
Join our Reception team in Hitchin.
HRJ Foreman Laws Solicitors is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Receptionist to join the team in our Hitchin office, three days a week on Wednesdays to Fridays, 8.30am to 5.30pm.
Actual Salary: £16,000 per annum (£25,000 FTE).
The Receptionist is responsible for providing high quality front-of-house services and is the first point of contact for clients and visitors at our firm. This role requires a professional and friendly individual who can manage front desk operations efficiently, ensuring a welcoming environment for all clients and visitors.
Key Responsibilities of the role:
Greet clients and visitors with a positive, helpful attitude
Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls.
Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email.
Manage the firm’s general email inbox, responding to inquiries or forwarding them to the appropriate department.
Maintain the reception area, keeping it clean and presentable.
Receive, sort, and distribute daily mail/deliveries.
Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as scanning ID.
Co-ordinate recycling / shredding
Assist with the meeting room bookings
Assist with co-ordinating building maintenance including annual PAT testing
The ideal candidate will have:
Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative, or similar role.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g. photocopiers and printers).
Professional attitude and appearance.
Solid written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise.
Excellent organisational skills.
Excellent multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks.
A passion for working with people and thrive on delivering exceptional customer service.
The ability to communicate accurately and confidently and can clearly convey updates to clients and staff by telephone, face to face and via email.
