Job Description
We are a busy flooring business located in Longford, Ashbourne. We have two sections to our business, Online Flooring Sales and Commercial Flooring Installations.
We are looking for an experienced Floor Fitter to join our team in our busy growing business. You will be required to install different types of floor coverings e.g. Safety Flooring, Vinyl, Linoleum, Carpet, Carpet Tiles, Entrance Matting, LVT, Sub-floor preparation etc. You must be experienced and be able to work to your own initiative and as part of a team ensuring all work is completed to an optimum standard with the end result leaving the customer 100% satisfied.
Responsibilities and Duties
Key Responsibilities
- Must have experience and be competent installing a variety of floor coverings e.g. Safety Flooring, Vinyl, Linoleum, Carpet, Carpet Tiles, Entrance Matting, LVT etc.
- Be knowledgeable with sub-floor preparation.
- Understand Health and Safety requirements.
Essential Requirements
- Full UK Driving License (able to get to and from work).
- Effective verbal communication skills with customers / co-workers.
- Ability to multi task and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to function well as part of a team and an individual.
- Diligent attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Be able to use initiative, make decisions and consult as appropriate.
- Ability to self-motivate.
- You must be punctual, reliable and trustworthy.
Desirable requirements
- Experience of working in the Flooring Construction environment.
- Understanding of Health and Safety.
- CSCS
- NVQ in Floor Fitting
Qualifications and Skills
- At least two years experience.
- Secondary school education with basic grades.
