Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced dog groomer to join our professional pet care team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal welfare and a keen eye for detail, ensuring each dog receives high-quality grooming services. This role involves working with a variety of breeds and sizes, providing a comfortable and safe environment for our canine clients. The successful applicant will utilise their grooming expertise to deliver exceptional results while maintaining excellent customer service standards.

Responsibilities

Perform grooming services including bathing, trimming, clipping, and styling according to breed standards and client preferences
Handle dogs safely and compassionately, ensuring their comfort throughout the grooming process
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of grooming tools and work area
Assess each dog's coat condition and recommend appropriate grooming treatments or maintenance schedules
Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners regarding grooming needs
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times

Qualifications

Proven experience as a dog groomer with a strong portfolio of completed work
Excellent animal handling skills with a gentle yet confident approach
Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners
Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary, such as lifting large or heavy dogs safely
Organised with attention to detail to ensure high standards of grooming are maintained consistently
Relevant qualifications or certifications in pet grooming or animal care are advantageous but not essential
