Care Coordinator
Stafford | £28,000 - £30,000
Looking for more than just another care co-ordination role?
We're growing our services in Stafford and we're looking for an organised, proactive Care Coordinator to lead
We already provide high-quality Supported Living services for adults with learning disabilities and mental health needs in the South, and we're now expanding into Stafford with a brand new Ofsted-regulated Supported Accommodation service for young people aged 16 to 18 and Supported Living Services for adults with learning disabilities or mental health needs.
This isn't just another co-ordination role where you'll spend your day managing rotas. You'll play a key part in helping establish our services, set up the right support for people and grow the team. This is the perfect opportunity for someone who's looking to progress into Care Management in the not so distant future.
The Role
As our Care Co-ordinator, you'll help oversee the day-to-day delivery of care across our Supported Living, Domiciliary Care and Supported Accommodation services.
Every day is different. You could be coordinating staffing, supporting new referrals and dealing with operational challenges one day, then carrying out quality audits, working alongside managers to improve services or liaising with local authorities and other professionals the next.
You'll be trusted to work independently, use your initiative and help make sure our services continue to deliver safe, person-centred support.
What you'll be doing
- Coordinating care staff and managing rotas
- Supporting referrals, assessments and care planning
- Responding to day-to-day operational issues
- Carrying out quality checks and audits
- Working alongside the management team to continuously improve our services
- Building positive relationships with local authorities, healthcare professionals, families and other stakeholders
- Helping us maintain high standards and remain fully compliant with CQC and Ofsted requirements
What we're looking for
You'll already have experience in a role such as Care Coordinator, Deputy Manager, Care Manager or a similar operational position within Supported Living, Domiciliary Care or Supported Accommodation.
You'll also have:
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage a busy workload
- The confidence to make decisions and work on your own initiative
- A good understanding of safeguarding and person-centred care
- Experience using care management and rostering systems
- A Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
- A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
Experience working within both CQC and Ofsted-regulated services would be an advantage, but if you've got strong experience in one sector and you're keen to develop your knowledge in the other, we'd still love to hear from you.
What's on Offer
- £28,000 to £30,000 per year, depending on experience
- The opportunity to help shape and grow an expanding service
- Genuine opportunities for career progression as the service grows
- Ongoing training and professional development
