Deputy Manager – Trelana Nursing Home

Location: Trelana Nursing Home, Cornwall
Salary: £45,500–£52,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Contract: Permanent

We're looking for a passionate and experienced Deputy Manager to join our leadership team and help us continue deliver the highest standard of care

About the Role

As a Deputy Manager you'll play a key role in the leadership and smooth running of the home, working closely with the Registered Manager and supported by a full complement of clinical, care and administrative staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day leadership of the home
Deputise for the Registered Manager in their absence, maintaining continuity of care and operational standards
Work closely with the Clinical Lead and nursing team to uphold excellent clinical and care standards
Support staff supervision, training, mentoring, and development
Ensure compliance with CQC regulations and internal quality standards through regular audits and quality monitoring
Support with staffing levels and rotas alongside the nursing team
Build strong, trusted relationships with residents, families, and external healthcare professionals
Support incident reporting, investigations, and care plan reviews
Champion a warm, person-centred culture with a focus on positive behaviour support

What We're Looking For:

NMC-registered nurse (RGN/RMN/RNLD) desirable, or significant senior care management experience preferably within a nursing home setting
NVQ/QCF Level 5 in Health & Social Care (or working towards) desirable
Strong knowledge of CQC standards and regulatory requirements
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
A compassionate, resilient person with a passion for delivering high-quality care
A collaborative approach and the ability to build strong working relationships across the team
