Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced and skilled Stonemason with strong experience in brickwork, blockwork, stone masonry, and plastering. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out high-quality construction, restoration, and finishing work on a variety of residential, commercial, and heritage projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and repair brick, block, and stone structures to a high standard.
- Carry out stone masonry work, including cutting, shaping, and laying stone.
- Perform internal and external plastering and rendering.
- Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and site instructions.
- Mix and prepare mortars, plasters, and other construction materials.
- Repair and restore existing masonry and stonework where required.
- Ensure all work is completed safely, accurately, and within project deadlines.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
- Work independently or as part of a construction team.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience in stone masonry, bricklaying, blockwork, and plastering.
- Ability to produce high-quality workmanship across all aspects of the role.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques.
- Ability to read and work from drawings and plans.
- Good understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Physically fit and capable of carrying out manual work.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude.
Desirable Qualifications
- CSCS Card.
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Bricklaying, Stonemasonry, or a related trade.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Pay: £20.00-£21.00 per hour
