The Environmental Health & Safety Advisor is responsible for providing technical advice and support for all of Braunton's environmental health and safety programs.
These programs are designed to minimize employee exposure to workplace risks, control and eliminate incidents, and assure compliance with all applicable environmental, health and safety regulations.
Working as part of the site EHS team, and utilizing compliance tools and management systems, the successful candidate will coordinate and lead proactive environment health and safety programs that align with Perrigo corporate requirements.
This is a Facility-based role requiring presence on the manufacturing floor, work in controlled environments, and participation in emergency drills and compliance audits.

Knowledge of EHS management systems, safety and environmental regulations, and compliance requirements

Coordinate strategic initiatives towards an established EHS vision
-
Work with EHS Manager to ensure site safety objectives and leading indicators are achieved

Deputise for the EHS Manager in committees and steering teams
-
Lead initiatives to eliminate hazards and reduce risk
-
Support incident investigations, audits, training, corrective actions and risk assessments
-
Provide specialist services (exposure monitoring, acoustic surveys, high hazard risk assessments)

Act as SME during incidents and advise on corrective actions
-
Advise on legal compliance, PPE, exposure limits and controls
-
Promote continuous improvement of safety culture

Attend safety meetings and support PWS and HOP initiatives

Collaborate with QA, Engineering and Production

Support regulatory, customer and third-party audits

Maintain relationships with department leads and Global EHS
-
Undertake other reasonable duties to support the business.

NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent
-
Experience with EMIS systems (e.g. Gensuite)
-
Experience with compliance management systems
-
Minimum 2 years EHS experience in pharma or high-risk manufacturing
-
Knowledge of ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and GMP
-
Understanding of HOP principles (desirable)

Strong communication and IT skills
