Customer Service Assistant – (Job ref: BDN001)
Fixed Term Contract until 31st December 2026
Salary: £9,112.64 (£24,521.29 FTE)
Hours: 13.75hrs per week (working pattern below)
Location: Bideford & Northam Libraries
Closing date: 9am on Friday 5th June 2026
Interview date: Thursday 11th June 2026 at Bideford Library
Week 1 (14hrs):Tuesday (BID): 9:30am – 4:30pm, 1hr unpaid break (6)
Wednesday (NOR): 10:00am – 2:00pm (4)
Saturday (BID): 9:30am – 1:30pm at Bideford (4)
Week 2 (13.5hrs):
Tuesday (BID): 9:30am – 4:30pm, 1hr unpaid break (6)
Wednesday (NOR): 10:00am – 2:00pm at Northam (4)
Saturday (NOR): 9:45am – 1:15pm at Bideford (3.5)
Total Weekly Average: 13.75 hours
We are looking for an enthusiastic people-focused person to join our customer service team at Bideford and Northam Libraries.
The successful candidate will deliver a friendly, proactive, and responsive frontline service, ensuring the best possible customer experience for all.
The successful candidate will take an active part in delivering a wide range of services, including children’s events and activities.
We are looking for someone with good digital skills, and a love of reading who will enjoy working with people of all ages.
