Weighbridge Operator

A-Z Skips Ltd
Full-time, Permanent
Location: A-Z Skips Ltd site
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

A-Z Skips Ltd is looking for a friendly, reliable and organised Weighbridge Operator to join our busy team.

This is an important customer-facing role, responsible for managing vehicles entering and leaving the site, recording waste movements accurately and helping the day-to-day operation run smoothly.

Main Responsibilities

Operating the weighbridge and accurately recording vehicle weights
Greeting drivers and customers in a friendly and professional manner
Checking waste transfer notes and other required documentation
Entering information accurately onto the company system
Taking payments and issuing tickets or receipts
Directing vehicles safely around the site
Answering telephone calls and dealing with customer enquiries
Liaising with drivers, yard staff and the management team
Completing general administrative duties
Following all site health, safety and environmental procedures

About You

We are looking for someone who:

Is friendly, approachable and confident dealing with customers
Has good computer and administrative skills
Is organised and pays close attention to detail
Can remain calm and professional in a busy environment
Is reliable, punctual and works well as part of a team
Has good communication and basic numerical skills

Previous weighbridge, waste industry or administrative experience would be helpful, but full training can be provided to the right person.
