Salary: £27,000 – £32,000 (depending on experience)
Working Hours
· Monday to Friday
· 9-hour shifts including a 1-hour unpaid lunch break
· Typical working hours 08:00/09:00 – 17:00/18:00 but flexibility may be required to support operational demands
· For candidates with relevant experience, there may be the opportunity to work extended hours in line with the wider operations team (10 -hour shifts) with a higher salary to reflect this
· Final working pattern and salary to be agreed based on experience and suitability for the role
About the Role
Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Transport Planner Assistant to support our busy HGV planning operation.
This role can suit either someone looking to start a career in transport planning or an individual with existing experience who can contribute from day one.
You will work closely with the Operations Manager in a fast-paced environment, playing a key role in ensuring efficient and timely delivery operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with daily HGV route planning and scheduling
- Communicating with drivers regarding routes, delays, and updates
- Handling customer queries and providing delivery updates
- Supporting problem-solving when operational issues arise
- Updating transport systems and maintaining accurate records
- Ensuring compliance with transport regulations and driver hours

Experience
- Previous experience in transport, logistics, or planning is advantageous
- However, full training will be provided for the right candidate with the right attitude
