About this opportunity:
This is a vacancy at an International event yard with horses ranging from 3 years old to 5* event horses. Andrew is a top event rider with a lovely string of horses. Jobs will include all yard duties, riding and event opportunities and the chance to bring your own horse!
A fantastic opportunity to work on a busy and fun competition yard with a lot of opportunities to learn the skills needed for a career in the industry. Within the role, the successful candidate will be working towards a Level 2 or Level 3 Apprenticeship in Equine.

Yard duties will include but not limited to:
Turning out and bringing in
Mucking out
Feeding, watering and haying
Grooming
Clipping and trimming
Maintaining the cleanliness of the yard at all times
Bandaging
Tacking up
Lunging/long rein
Riding/hacking
Attending shows/events
Desired skills and qualities
Must be able to work alone at times and as part of a team
Applicants must have some experience of handling horses and show this on application
Applicants must be confident to ride fit and fast horses.

Training
Full training to be provided by the employer and KEITS at the place of employment.
The applicant will be working towards a Level 2 Equine Groom Apprenticeship or Level 3 Senior Equine Groom Apprenticeship.
The learner will be allocated an industry specific training consultant who will provide both remote and on site visits throughout the apprenticeship.
