Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Hotel Housekeeper to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the hotel, ensuring guests enjoy a comfortable and welcoming environment. Previous experience in hotel or janitorial services is preferred, but full training will be provided. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work within a professional hospitality setting, contributing to guest satisfaction and the overall reputation of the establishment.

Duties

Clean and sanitise guest rooms, including beds, bathrooms, and common areas, following established standards.
Change bed linen and replenish amenities such as towels, toiletries, and refreshments.
Ensure all surfaces are dust-free and floors are swept, mopped, or vacuumed as required.
Report any maintenance issues or damages observed during cleaning to management promptly.
Maintain cleanliness of public areas including corridors, lobby, and reception areas.
Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals.
Restock cleaning supplies and ensure equipment is maintained in good working order.
Follow organisational procedures for waste disposal and linen management.

Skills

Previous experience in hotel housekeeping or janitorial services is advantageous.
Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and presentation.
Good organisational skills to manage time efficiently across multiple rooms or areas.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Excellent communication skills to report issues effectively.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to cleaning chemicals and equipment.
