Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Electro/Mechanical Project Engineer to lead and manage complex engineering projects within our organisation. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical and mechanical systems, system design, and software integration. This role involves collaborating across multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative solutions within the commercial and leisure marine markets.

You will need to show:

creative problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
excellent critical thinking skills and a high level of numeracy
good communication and interpersonal skills
strong teamworking skills, with an ability to motivate others and to lead or manage teams and projects
flexibility and an ability to compromise
a willingness to accept responsibility and make decisions
a very high level of attention to detail
excellent customer care skills and good commercial awareness
an understanding of, and ability to work with, high-level computer technology including design packages like AutoCAD.
Solar system design and installation an advantage but not essential.
Participate in project planning meetings to define scope, milestones, and resource requirements; monitor progress throughout project lifecycle.
Document technical specifications, test procedures, and validation reports to facilitate knowledge sharing and future reference.

Requirements

Proven experience in electrical / mechanical engineering with a strong understanding of system design principles.
Full UK driving license as this role requires site and installation visits throughout the UK and overseas when necessary.
Skilled in schematic creation and interpretation.
Confident to work alone or lead our team on customer sites
Relevant degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering; additional certifications in automation or embedded systems are a plus. Salary is dependent on experience.
