SNG (Sovereign Network Group) is one of the largest housing associations in England. We provide over 85,000 homes and invest in communities across the South, West and East of England, including London, as well as building thousands of new affordable homes every year.
We're looking for a Treasury Analyst to join our team in Wembley or Basingstoke.
This role is suited to an individual who is proactive, curious and keen to broaden their experience, with a strong desire to develop and build a long-term career in a progressive and commercially focused treasury environment.
This is a hybrid role with 2 days per week in the office. Interviews will be taking place week commencing the 1st July.
Key Responsibilities
Daily cash management & liquidity: Monitor the Group’s cash position, carry out treasury dealing, and manage short-term liquidity to ensure funding for operations, payments (e.g. BACS), and adequate account balances.
Forecasting & reporting: Support month-end processes, including liquidity forecasting, covenant reporting, variance analysis, and producing management information.
Investments: Make short-term investment decisions (e.g. money market funds) based on cashflow forecasts.
Treasury systems: Act as a key user for the Treasury Management System (TMS), supporting its administration and operations.
Risk & hedging support: Assist with execution of hedging strategies, including monitoring interest rate swaps, collateral, and accounting treatment.
Project & strategic support: Provide analysis and support on treasury projects, such as financing, investor relations, and liability management.
Cashflow management: Proactively manage short-term cashflow to ensure sufficient liquidity, while improving existing forecasting processes.
Cross-team coordination: Work closely with Accounts Payable and other teams to ensure payment timings are accurately reflected in cashflow forecasts.
Debt management support: Provide cover for managing the short-term debt portfolio, including loan drawdowns, rollovers, and scheduling interest and capital repayments in line with amortisation plans.
Banking operations: Maintain templates and support activities on banking platforms, along with handling ad hoc banking requirements as needed
What We’re Looking For
A part-qualified or qualified accountant (or ACT) with a strong interest in developing a long-term career in treasury.
Motivation to grow within a commercially focused, progressive treasury environment, with a commitment to continuous learning.
Strong technical capability, including advanced Excel skills and treasury dealing experience.
Highly numerate, detail-oriented, and accountable.
Well-organised with strong planning skills.
Effective communicator with good interpersonal skills.
