Summary
We are seeking a Ground Worker /Labourer in the dover area to work alongside one of our experienced ganger men , this role is vital for supporting our mission to provide exceptional groundworks services. The successful candidate will contribute to our projects' success by performing and learning essential groundwork tasks and becoming an integral part of our flagship teams.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and excavation of sites to ensure smooth construction processes.
- Operate basic groundworks machinery and tools safely and efficiently.
- Support the team in maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Follow health and safety regulations diligently to ensure a safe workplace.
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet project deadlines.
- Assist with the transportation of materials using company vans.
- Contribute to quality control by adhering to project specifications.
- Support other groundworks activities as directed by supervisors.
- Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Ground Worker or Labourer in construction or groundworks is a bonus but not essential.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to construction sites.
- Ability to operate basic tools and machinery used in groundworks.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Reliable with a good work ethic.
- Ability to travel to various sites within the south east and london region in company vans.
- Physical fitness and stamina for manual tasks.
- Must have a valid CSCS card
- Must have a UTR number
- Basic understanding of site safety procedures.
