Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in managing all aspects of cost control and financial planning for construction projects. This position offers an excellent opportunity contributing to the successful delivery of high-quality infrastructure. The ideal applicant will possess strong organisational skills, a keen eye for detail, and experience in cost management within the construction industry. You will have a degree in Quantity Surveying, with previous experience working with reinforced concrete projects, Groundworks, Civils.

Duties

Consult with clients to understand their requirements.
Conduct feasibility studies to vet proposed projects.
Calculate quantities and costs for materials, labour, time frames.
Prepare tender packages and contracts, including bills of quantities.
Manage risks, value engineering and cost control measures.
Negotiate contracts and schedules.
Oversee and value subcontractors work for payment.
Ensure compliance with regulations and quality standards.
Analyse outcomes and provide budget/ progress report.
Advise on claims, disputes and any contractual issues.

You can expect a typical 40hr work week. Mainly office based, but visits to site will also be required.

Staying up to date on building codes and safety protocols is essential.

Specialisations like residential, retail, sports venues and more are also options.

Pay: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
