Job Summary
We are seeking a versatile and experienced Multi Skilled Tradesman/woman to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a broad range of skills across various trades, including carpentry, roofing, construction painting, plumbing, masonry, welding, electrical work, and fabrication. This role involves working on diverse projects requiring adaptability, technical expertise, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. The successful applicant will contribute to maintaining high standards of quality and safety across multiple sites and tasks.
Responsibilities
- Carry out carpentry tasks such as framing, fitting, and finishing work with precision and attention to detail.
- Perform roofing repairs and installations ensuring durability and compliance with safety standards.
- Conduct construction painting projects, preparing surfaces and applying finishes efficiently.
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and appliances.
- Execute masonry work such as bricklaying, blockwork, and concrete finishing.
- Operate welding equipment to fabricate or repair metal structures and components.
- Assist with electrical installations, troubleshooting wiring issues, and ensuring compliance with electrical codes.
- Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for various tasks across trades.
- Fabricate custom components or structures as required for specific projects.
- Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure project deadlines are met while maintaining high-quality standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in multiple trades such as carpentry, roofing, plumbing, masonry, welding, electrical work or fabrication.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Strong understanding of construction processes and safety protocols.
- Ability to read technical drawings and interpret specifications accurately.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive attitude towards troubleshooting issues on-site.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
- Relevant certifications or licences in trades such as carpentry, electrical work or welding are desirable but not essential.
