CK Architectural is in its 12th year and is continuing to grow through client popularity due to our unique system of design and build services. Due to recent success in the Midlands region, we are looking to add an Architectural Design Technician. The role will be hybrid based with days attending the Birmingham office, working from home and on site for client meetings and surveys.
The job role will mainly include running smaller projects and supporting architects or Senior designers. Primarily producing highly detailed, well presented designs, building regulations and working drawings. Other duties typical to the role will be surveying, designing and planning submissions. Liaising with clients, building control officers, planning officers and consultants daily.
The right candidate will have a base level of working knowledge of UK building regulations and planning processes. Understand the built environment and apply practical solution to building problems. Must have good verbal and written communication skills, possess a can do attitude and be able to focus on deep levels of coordinated detailing. This role is perfect for individuals looking to grow their skills in a collaborative environment while gaining hands-on experience in the architectural field.
Duties
- Create detailed drawings using AutoCAD
- Surveying properties across the region
- Produce high quality technical drawings to our standards
- Assist with other areas such as, design and planning
- Write technical specification to suit building control regulations (approved documents)
- Collaborate with senior architects and project teams to develop design concepts and architectural plans.
- Continue to learn and develop
Qualifications/Experience
- 5-10 years experience in UK residential architecture
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Have knowledge of UK Planning Policies & Building Regulations
- Strong understanding of CAD principles and techniques.
- Knowledge of graphic design principles is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- A keen eye for detail and a passion for architecture and design.
- Relevant degree or qualification in Architecture or a related field is preferred.

Pay: £28,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
