Job Overview
We are seeking skilled Building and Civil Engineering Technicians to join our dynamic team. The successful candidates will play a vital role in supporting various engineering projects, from initial design to implementation and maintenance. This position offers an excellent opportunity to utilise a broad range of technical skills, including CAD design, systems engineering, and project development, within a collaborative environment dedicated to innovative infrastructure solutions.

Responsibilities

Develop detailed technical drawings and schematics using AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, and SolidWorks to support construction and fabrication projects.
Assist in the design and analysis of civil and building systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshooting for system failures or design issues, utilising debugging techniques and system diagnostics.
Support the integration of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and electrical systems within construction projects.
Collaborate on product development tasks, including system design optimisation and mechanical component fabrication.
Perform maintenance activities on existing infrastructure and systems, ensuring operational efficiency and safety.
Utilise programming languages such as Python, C, C++, and MATLAB for automation, data analysis, or system control tasks.
Apply GD&T principles to ensure precision in manufacturing and fabrication processes.
Contribute to project documentation by creating detailed schematics, technical reports, and specifications.
Participate in team meetings to review project progress, technical challenges, and innovative solutions.

Requirements

Proven experience with CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, and SolidWorks is essential.
Strong understanding of construction processes, civil engineering principles, and systems engineering concepts.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, C, and MATLAB is highly desirable.
Knowledge of electrical engineering fundamentals, system design, schematic creation, and PLC integration.
Mechanical knowledge with experience in fabrication, maintenance, debugging, and root cause analysis.
Familiarity with GD&T standards for manufacturing precision.
Ability to interpret schematics and technical drawings accurately.
Excellent problem-solving skills with an analytical approach to troubleshooting complex systems.
Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Relevant qualifications or certifications in civil or mechanical engineering are preferred but not mandatory.
