Full job description

We are looking for an experienced CNC lathe Setter / Operator to join our busy and growing machining team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled machinist to become part of a well-established company manufacturing high-quality precision components.

Experience with Siemens 828D controls is highly desirable, although applicants with experience of other CNC control systems are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

Setting and operating CNC lathe machines.
Producing precision components to engineering drawings and specifications.
Selecting and setting tooling, work offsets and fixtures.
Carrying out first-off and in-process inspections using measuring equipment.
Maintaining high standards of quality, accuracy and housekeeping.
Working efficiently to achieve production targets.
Reporting any tooling, machine or quality issues.

Requirements

Previous experience as a CNC lathe Setter / Operator.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Competent in the use of precision measuring equipment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
Able to work independently and as part of a team.

What We Offer

Competitive salary, negotiable depending on experience.
Overtime available.
Permanent, full-time position.
Early finish every Friday.

Location: Halesowen

Hours:

Monday to Thursday: 07:30 – 16:30
Friday: 07:30 – 12:30

Salary: Negotiable, depending on experience
