Full job description

We’re looking for an experienced and hands-on IT Infrastructure & Operations Manager to lead the delivery, performance and continual improvement of IT services across the organisation. Working closely with the IT Director, you’ll play a key role in shaping and delivering the IT infrastructure and operations roadmap across a fast-paced, project-based environment.

Location: Birmingham

What you’ll be doing

Lead day-to-day IT infrastructure and operations services across the business
Manage and improve cloud platforms including Azure, Microsoft 365, Teams and SharePoint
Oversee networking, telephony, desktop technologies and end-user services
Drive service performance, incident management, problem resolution and continuous improvement
Manage relationships and performance of Managed Service Providers and third-party suppliers
Lead change, release, asset and configuration management processes
Ensure resilience, security, backup and disaster recovery capabilities are maintained
Act as a senior technical SME and support emerging technology initiatives
Mentor and develop the IT Operations team while promoting a strong learning culture

What we’re looking for

Strong background in IT Infrastructure and Operations leadership
Technical expertise across Azure, M365, networking and end-user technologies
Experience managing operational IT teams and external suppliers
Knowledge of ITIL and service management best practice
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Willingness to travel to business sites as required and ability to obtain Security Clearance
