PHOENIX Healthcare Distribution is a national full-line pharmaceutical wholesaler with a network of distribution centres nationwide. We pride ourselves on delivering a high quality supply chain service to our customers, who include pharmacy, GPs, and hospitals. All of our depots are licensed by the MHRA, and comply with BSI ISO Quality and Environmental standards. We operate twice daily deliveries from our distribution centres across Monday to Friday and on a Saturday morning, and our local teams are supported by a centralised function team, primarily from our Head Office in Runcorn.

About the opportunity:

We’re looking for a Warehouse Supervisor to join our existing team in our Birmingham Distribution Centre.

You will be working within a busy warehouse supporting your team to meet key performance indicators (KPIs) that ensure we exceed our customers’ expectations. You will ensure all operations are carried out with a high level of attention to detail which is crucial to ensure customer orders are fulfilled in a safe, secure and timely manner.

You will ensure all standards are in line with ISO, GPD, Health and Safety and MHRA regulations and guidelines alongside managing your local budget.

To succeed in this role warehouse supervisory experience is essential.

In this role you will be required to stand and walk for the majority of your shift, as well as needing to be able to lift (products up to 15kg), bend, twist, kneel, and crouch.

Salary

Hourly rate: £16.48 per hour

Birmingham location supplement: £0.19 per hour

Evening supplement (4pm–10pm): £0.20 per hour

Night shift premium (10pm–6am): 25% uplift

Working Pattern

39 hours per week

Monday: 19:00–04:00 Tuesday: 19:00–04:00 Wednesday: 19:00–03:00 Thursday:19:00–02:30 Friday: 19:00–01:30

One Sunday expected to work every 4 weeks Sunday 0700-1200

Essential Skills/Experience

Minimum 5 GCSE’s or equivalent including Maths and English
Proven warehouse experience
An understanding of laws and regulations relating to Health & Safety
Leadership qualities
Excellent communication skills
Well organised

Desirable:

IOSH Qualification
First Aid Qualification
Fire Marshall
Knowledge of perpetual inventory systems
An understanding of GDP regulation
