Full job description

Job Overview

We are seeking an energetic and motivated Part-time Membership Advisor to join our team. This is not just a desk job we need someone who can combine great customer service with a strong sales drive. You’ll be the first face our members and visitors see, so you’ll need to bring energy, professionalism, and a genuine passion for health and fitness.

As a Membership advisor, you'll play a key role in growing our membership community by delivering exceptional customer experiences, driving membership sales and supporting member retention. Every interaction is an opportunity to make a positive impact, whether you're welcoming a prospect, supporting an existing member or promoting the products and services that help people achieve their goals.

You'll act as a brand ambassador, supporting the club's commercial goals while delivering exceptional service to every member, guest and prospect

Responsibilities

Greeting and assisting members and guests in a friendly, professional manner
Selling memberships, personal training packages, and other gym services
Providing tours of the facility to potential members
Utilise Salesforce or similar Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools to track interactions, follow-ups, and membership status
Assist with gym resets and operational tasks where required
Collaborate with team members to develop strategies for increasing membership engagement and retention
Managing front desk operations, including bookings and payments
Assist in onboarding new members by explaining benefits, policies, and available resources clearly and enthusiastically
Ensuring reception area and communal spaces remain tidy and welcoming

Experience

Target-driven mindset with a desire to achieve results
Previous experience in sales, hospitality, retail, leisure or customer service
Flexible approach to working hours, including weekends and Bank Holidays
Experience using sales, booking or membership systems
Demonstrated ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment
Strong fitness knowledge and understanding of gym environments
