Full job description

Direct Vision Opticians is an independent opticians committed to delivering high-quality eye care and outstanding customer service to every patient.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing independent practice as a Store Manager, leading the day-to-day operation of the store while ensuring an exceptional patient experience.

Role Details:

Position: Store Manager
Location: Great Barr
Hours: Full-time
Experience: Previous optical management or senior optical experience required

Key Responsibilities:

Leading and supporting the store team
Driving store performance and achieving business objectives
Delivering exceptional customer service and patient care
Managing appointments, patient records, and store administration
Supporting dispensing, frame styling, and patient journeys
Monitoring stock levels and supplier orders
Maintaining high standards of store presentation and professionalism
Training, coaching, and developing team members

Requirements:

Previous experience within the optical industry
Previous management or supervisory experience preferred
Strong leadership and people management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Commercial awareness and a proactive approach
Well-presented with a professional manner
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
