Job Description
As a Production Technician, you will be responsible for assembling, testing, and maintaining our robotic systems while managing stock and components. You will work closely with the engineering team to improve production processes, keep the workshop running efficiently, and provide insights from the production floor and product testing.
Responsibilities
-Assemble and test robots in accordance with quality and safety standards.
- Work with the purchasing team to manage stock levels and ensure timely replenishment.
- Maintain version control of assembly manuals.
- Collaborate with engineering to identify issues, develop manufacturing guidelines, and contribute to process improvements.
- Assemble cables, wire harnesses, and electronic subassemblies in line with build documentation.
- Execute electronics test plans, identifying and escalating recurring issues.
- Use and maintain Google Sheets-based production processes and workflows.
- Organize and maintain the workshop space and resources.
- Prepare equipment for site operations, including updates and pre-shipment testing.
- Collaborate with R&D to support Design for Manufacturing (DFM) for new solutions and products.
- Provide occasional support as an operator at customer sites when required.
About You
- Essential: Ability to attend full-time onsite; proficiency in reading BOMs, assembly manuals, and wiring schematics; basic hand tool competency; experience in electronics testing and debugging; detail-oriented with strong organizational skills; proficient with Google Sheets; clear written communication; and a self-directed, collaborative nature.- Desirable: Experience with cable assembly, wire crimping, and soldering; 1–4 years in a hands-on environment (workshop, manufacturing, or field engineering); familiarity with quality control; and an interest in robotics or construction technology.
- Temperament: Eager to learn in a fast-paced startup environment, comfortable raising problems early, and willing to handle all tasks—including stock counting and cleaning—to get the job done.
