Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Operative to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling materials, managing stock, and ensuring the smooth operation of warehouse activities. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with warehouse experience who are keen to develop their skills within a dynamic environment. The position involves physical work, including heavy lifting and load/unload tasks, and requires a proactive approach to maintaining safety and efficiency. Responsibilities

Handling materials efficiently, including picking, packing, and stock replenishment
Operating forklift trucks and other warehouse machinery safely and effectively
Managing shipping and receiving processes to ensure timely dispatch and receipt of goods
Utilising warehouse management systems to track inventory levels and update records accurately
Organising stock storage areas to optimise space utilisation and accessibility
Conducting quality control checks on incoming and outgoing products
Assisting with mechanical maintenance or troubleshooting equipment when necessary
Ensuring health and safety standards are adhered to at all times during daily operations
Supporting the loading and unloading of goods from lorries or containers
Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment

Experience

Previous experience in a warehouse environment is highly desirable
Familiarity with materials handling equipment such as forklifts is preferred; relevant training can be provided if necessary
Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) is advantageous but not essential
Experience in shipping & receiving procedures, stock control, or picking & packing roles will be beneficial
Mechanical knowledge or experience with warehouse machinery is a plus
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently over extended periods
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in stock management tasks

Pay: £12.21-£18.50 per hour
