Full job description

Job Role

To be solely responsible for the security of the Hotel at night ensuring that any guests needs are taken care of to the standards set by the Company and to prepare the hotel for the next day’s business.

Duties & Responsibilities

· To assist the Operations Director and all departments

· To have intimate knowledge of geography of the Hotel, location and functioning of all major systems (water, heating, electricity, fire panel, etc)

· To give 24-hour service to guests should they need any help over the night

· To assist the Late shift staff and the early morning staff in any way, (service, tidying stores, sorting out equipment problems, checkout, etc)

· To communicate with the early Duty Manager and report back on the handover issued by the late Duty Manager

· To follow the Duty manager’s handover

· To do room layups for conferences, events and weddings

· Report any on-going problems encountered in the night.

· To ensure the lounges and public areas are tidy and free of bar items and ready for final cleaning by Housekeeping.

· To be able to diplomatically handle intoxicated late night revellers in not allowing them to disturb other guests or damage Hotel Property.

· To have knowledge of the location of Housekeeping items and key to stores.

· To do regular corridor and safety checks

· To do regular outdoor security checks making sure all areas of the business is locked and secured

· To do checks outside the entrance of guests for any litter etc

· To make sure that Company Policy and the Vision are followed at all times.

· Establishing a courteous, helpful, and friendly attitude to all guests at all times.

· To be fully aware of the Hotels Fire safety procedures and Health & Safety regulations.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16.0 – 40.0 per week
