Full job description

JOB TITLE: Security Ambassador

LOCATION: Birmingham / Midlands area

PAY RATE: £14.00 per hour

HOURS: 40 hrs per week

THE ROLE:

Are you passionate about public safety and customer service? We are looking for a dedicated Security Ambassador who will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and welfare, across the Midlands.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Patrol sites to ensure safety and welfare.
Support Managers in managing staff.
Assist with customer inquiries and provide visible reassurance to the public.
Respond to safeguarding concerns and offer support to vulnerable individuals.
Provide security to various sites including unlock and lock up of offices
Sign in staff, visitors and contractors, ensuring correct PPE for the depots is being worn
Support by covering sites as needed.
Collaborate with rail staff, British Transport Police, and other stakeholders to maintain a safe and welcoming environment.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A calm, confident approach to handling challenging situations.
Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends.
Full training provided.

LICENCES:

You must have a current SIA Door Supervisor Licence.
Access to own transport is essential – public transport may not be available depending on shift times.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

You must be able to provide a checkable 5-year employment and address history for vetting purposes (this can include full-time education or periods when claiming benefits).

INTERVIEW REQUIREMENTS:

Eligibility documents needed at interview: Passport or Full Birth Certificate; Utility Bill showing current address and dated within 3 months; Proof of National Insurance (Payslips cannot be used) such as NI card, P45, P60, benefits or HMRC letter.
