Full job description

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Optical Assistant/Receptionist to join our friendly team for a independent practice based in Smethwick.

This opportunity is on a part time basis with a minimum of 15 hours per week over 3 days ( Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays). The candidate must be available to work on Tueaday and Thursdays to cover staff sickness or absence.

Duties to include are: greeting patients, answering phone calls, handling and responding to correspondence, maintaining patient records, scheduling appointments, frame styling, dispensing spectacles, filing and general administration, maintenance of a clean environment, leafleting outside the shop to general public.

The Ideal candidate should possess excellent customer service skills and be able to cope working in a busy environment.

This opportunity is ONLY for candiates with a minimum of 6 months working experience in a optical practice. The candidate should have knowledge of dispensing and be able to dispense confidently.

Ideal candidate must be able to speak either Urdu/Hindi or Punjabi.

Any application received without prior optical experience will be ignored.

Pay: £12.71-£13.00 per hour
