Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable Self Employed Courier to join our logistics team. This role involves delivering goods efficiently and safely across designated routes, ensuring timely service for clients. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, mechanical knowledge, and excellent communication abilities. As a self-employed professional, you will manage your own schedule and vehicle, contributing to the smooth operation of our delivery network. This position offers flexible working hours and the opportunity to work independently within a supportive framework.

Responsibilities

Safely operate commercial vehicles, including flatbeds and other specialised transport equipment, adhering to all road safety regulations.
Plan and execute delivery routes efficiently, ensuring prompt collection and drop-off of parcels or goods.
Conduct routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance.
Communicate effectively with clients and dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules or any unforeseen delays.
Load and unload cargo carefully, utilising appropriate mechanical knowledge to handle various types of freight.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and vehicle maintenance activities.
Ensure compliance with all legal requirements related to commercial driving and transportation regulations.

Experience

Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, preferably with commercial driving background.
Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics procedures is advantageous.
Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting is desirable.
Experience operating flatbed vehicles or specialised transport equipment is a plus.
Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
UK driver’s licence.
Prior experience in warehouse environments or with delivery route planning will be considered beneficial.

Pay: From £100.00 per day
