As a Veterinary Surgeon, you’ll work collaboratively with the wider practice team to deliver a high standard of patient and client care across a varied and rewarding caseload. You’ll continue to develop your clinical skills and interests while sharing your knowledge and experience with colleagues, contributing positively to the clinical culture of the practice. You’ll be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering excellent care and supporting the ongoing development of those around you.
At Bearwood, the caseload is fairly routine with neutering and dental work. More complicated cases are referred over to the Rosewood branch. However, if you have the experience and clinical capability to deal with these types of cases, we can keep more inhouse for you.
We know that everyone has demands and priorities outside of their career and we want to make it brilliantly easy for you to strike the right balance. Whether you’re looking for full or part time hours, let us know, and we will do our best to accommodate! The role won’t require any on call or out of hours, and there’s very minimal Saturday cover that’s required.
Our brilliant Bearwood team is made of 2 RVNs, 1 receptionist. The site is a well equipped with two consulting rooms, one theatre, digital x-ray, ultrasound, in-house blood machines and microscopes. We’re delighted to have silver cat friendly status, too!
I joined the Lockwood Veterinary Group in 2020 as a Veterinary Care Assistant, and qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2024 after completing my Veterinary Nursing Diploma. I have worked at Bearwood Vets since 2022 and have also completed a Certificate in Feline Nursing, an area I am particularly passionate about. I take pride in the high standard of care we provide to our patients and clients and enjoy being part of a close-knit, supportive team.
