Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Swim Instructor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching swimming skills to kids, stages 1-6 ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your sports coaching and teaching skills while promoting water safety and confidence among participants.

Duties

Deliver structured swimming lessons tailored to the needs of diverse age groups and skill levels
Demonstrate proper swimming techniques and safety procedures
Monitor participants during lessons, ensuring their safety at all times
Provide personalised feedback to help learners improve their skills
Maintain a clean and organised pool area before and after classes
Assist in planning lesson plans and activities that promote engagement and learning
Enforce safety rules and respond effectively to emergencies if required
Foster a positive, encouraging environment that motivates learners to achieve their goals

Requirements

Level 2 swim instructor qualification
Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate and instruct learners of varying ages
Knowledge of water safety standards and emergency response procedures
Enthusiastic, patient, and organised with a passion for teaching swimming
Ability to work wednesdays 4:15-6:15

This role is ideal for individuals passionate about teaching, seeking to make a positive impact through water education. Applicants should demonstrate a commitment to safety, excellent organisational skills, and a friendly demeanour that encourages participation.

Pay: £15.00-£20.00 per hour
