Full job description

Do you have a background in Estate Agency or Mortgages? Would you like the opportunity to put your skills to use in a fast paced, paperless and forward-thinking Conveyancing Firm? If so, then our Conveyancing Assistant role could be the role for you.

Core hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

You will be responsible for liaising with clients in front of house and via the telephone as well as undertaking all other associated post / administrative tasks as directed by the team leader.

Key tasks will include, providing a warm, courteous and professional welcome to the firm – responding to all client / interested party calls or requests for information on residential conveyancing matters as well as liaising with residential conveyancers internally as to the progress of matters.

You will be required to accurately record client instructions, respond to basic enquiries, liaise with conveyancers, diarise telephone appointments and liaising with the post completion team. On occasion you may be required to make outbound calls to mortgage providers / estate agents to obtain updates, obtain redemption statements etc.

Experience of working in an estate agency, mortgage or legal background is preferable, however, this is not essential as full training will be given. Previous experience of a switchboard system is essential.

The successful candidate should be fully au fait with all Microsoft packages including Microsoft Outlook. As a paperless firm the successful candidate should also have the ability to work on a number of electronic / online systems at any one given time.

The successful candidate will have the ability to deal with clients courteously and expeditiously, promoting a favourable image of the firm. The successful candidate will also have the ability to work effectively as a team and be able to communicate professionally at all levels across the firm.
