Full job description

Overview

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Pickup Truck Driver to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting plant equipment across the country, following a daily schedule. You will ensure deliveries are completed on time while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and safety.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a driving role that allows them to return home each day, with no weekend work.

Driving License required.
Forklift and telehandler experience preferred.
Rate of pay is negligible depending on experience.
Overtime is available

Duties

Operate a flatbed pickup truck to transport plant equipment to designated locations
Use tachographs
Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to ensure timely arrivals
Load and unload safely in our yard
Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working order
Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
Adhere strictly to all traffic laws and safety regulations during operations

Requirements

Valid driving licence
Experience with tachographs
Familiarity with flatbed trucks and safe loading practices
Ability to navigate using GPS or maps effectively
Excellent time management skills with a focus on punctuality
Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to commercial driving and cargo handling

Pay: £13.00-£14.00 per hour
