Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef de Partie to join our culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, working as part of a time or running their own shift working solo and ensuring the smooth operation of their designated section. Duties
- Prepare and cook dishes to the highest standards, ensuring consistency and presentation excellence
- Oversee the daily operations of your designated section/ shift within the kitchen
- Assist in menu planning and development
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations at all times
- Ensure all food is prepared efficiently and within specified timeframes to meet service demands
- Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management to minimise waste
- Collaborate with the head chef and other team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Assist with meal preparation for special events or banquets as required
- Uphold cleanliness standards in your work area, including equipment maintenance and sanitation
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within a professional kitchen environment
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety standards, and hygiene practices
- Previous restaurant experience demonstrating ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced setting
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in meal presentation and quality control
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills to coordinate with front-of-house staff and colleagues
- Formal culinary training or relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential; practical experience is highly valued
