Ashcrest Joinery is a specialist manufacturer of high-end bespoke fitted furniture for private clients, interior designers and developers across the South East. As we continue to grow and prepare to relocate to our new purpose-built workshop, we're looking for an experienced Spray Finisher to take ownership of our finishing department.

The Role
You'll be responsible for delivering flawless finishes on bespoke furniture, ensuring every piece meets the exceptional standards our clients expect. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in producing outstanding work rather than repetitive production-line spraying.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare joinery for finishing, including sanding, filling and masking.
- Spray polyurethane paints, lacquers and other finishing systems to a high standard.
- Mix and colour-match stains to achieve consistent finishes.
- Apply traditional finishes including oils and waxes where required.
- Carry out quality inspections and rectify any defects before products leave the workshop.
- Maintain spray equipment and spray booth to ensure safe, efficient operation.
- Work closely with the production team to deliver projects on schedule.
- Follow all health and safety procedures.
- Contribute ideas to improve quality, efficiency and workshop processes.
About You
We're looking for someone with:
- Previous experience as a Spray Finisher, Furniture Finisher or Joinery Spray Finisher.
- Experience spraying polyurethane paints and lacquer systems.
- Experience preparing MDF, hardwoods and veneered joinery.
- Experience mixing and matching stains.
- Knowledge of traditional finishing techniques including oiling and waxing.
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit team.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
Desirable:
- Experience within bespoke joinery or cabinet making.
- Experience working on high-end residential joinery.
- Knowledge of specialist finishing and colour-matching techniques.
