Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Kitchen Team Member to join our dynamic culinary team. Prior experience in catering, cooking, or food safety is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.
Duties
- Assist with meal preparation and food assembly, ensuring all dishes meet quality standards
- Support the kitchen team in food safety and hygiene practices, maintaining cleanliness throughout the workspace
- Prepare ingredients and assist with cooking as directed by senior chefs or supervisors
- Help with general kitchen duties including washing, peeling, chopping, and organising supplies
- Serve food to customers or staff in accordance with established procedures
- Maintain organisation of utensils, cookware, and ingredients to optimise efficiency
- Follow health and safety regulations diligently to ensure a safe working environment
Qualifications
- Previous experience in catering, restaurant work, or food preparation is desirable but not mandatory
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices is advantageous
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
