Full job description

Job Summary
We are looking for a full-time employee to join our small but busy Civil Litigation legal practice in order to provide audio-typing and administration assistance to the company as a whole. The position is fully office based on Faraday Way, Blackpool.

Your responsibilities will include audio typing for 1 fee earner, answering incoming calls, including taking details of new cases. Your role will also require you to undertake all general administration duties, such as photocopying, preparing post, making telephone calls, archiving and providing general assistance as needed.

Full training will be given however, prior experience of working within a law firm or an office environment will be an advantage.

Your hours of work will be Monday - Friday 09:00 - 17:00 with a set 1 hour lunch. We offer 21 days holiday plus Bank Holidays; free parking is available on-site; and a workplace pension. We do not offer flexi-time.

Responsibilities

Accurately transcribe audio recordings into written documents using audio typing software.
Prepare, edit, and format documents such as reports, letters, and presentations using Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
Manage and organise emails, appointments, and schedules via Microsoft Outlook.
Assist with data entry and maintain organised filing systems both electronically and physically.
Support with general administrative tasks including photocopying, scanning, and preparing correspondence.
Liaise effectively with colleagues and external contacts through clear communication channels.
Ensure timely completion of tasks by managing workload efficiently through excellent time management skills.

Requirements

Proven experience in audio typing and general administrative duties.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Demonstrable organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
Good IT skills with the ability to adapt to new software or systems as required.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of accuracy.
Strong time management skills to meet deadlines consistently.
Previous administrative experience is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for specific tasks.

Pay: £24,420.00-£29,000.00 per year
