Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Painter and Decorator to transform spaces with expert craftsmanship and attention to detail. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for applying paint, varnish, wallpaper, and decorative finishes to a variety of surfaces in residential settings. Your enthusiasm for quality work and strong communication skills will ensure projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standards. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your decorating talents while contributing to beautiful, functional environments.

Duties

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling holes, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion
Apply paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and decorative coatings with precision and care
Interpret project specifications and communicate effectively with clients and team members to meet expectations
Operate various tools and equipment safely, including brushes, rollers, sprayers, and scaffolding
Manage on-site logistics such as driving between locations and ensuring timely completion of projects
Maintain a clean work environment by organizing materials and disposing of waste responsibly
Inspect finished work for quality control, making touch-ups as necessary to achieve a flawless finish

Experience

Proven experience in construction painting or decorating roles with a strong portfolio of completed projects
Valid driving license for traveling between job sites
Excellent communication skills in English to coordinate effectively with clients and team members
Familiarity with different painting techniques, surface preparation methods, and decorative finishes
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments
Knowledge of safety protocols related to construction painting and decorating activities
