The Role:
The Global Conversion & Marketing Officer provides practical support to international applicant conversion activity for the University of Portsmouth London campus through the delivery of agreed communications and engagement tasks. This is a largely standalone post, splitting time between our campus’ in Portsmouth and London, while remaining aligned to centrally agreed priorities and procedures.
The role focuses on carrying out operational activities to support applicant engagement and decision making, including implementing conversion communications in line with established plans and timelines, coordinating student ambassador activity during busy periods, and supporting the delivery of conversion and pre departure events. The postholder works with a high degree of day to day autonomy, exercising judgement and discretion to organise workload, determine appropriate responses to applicant enquiries and efficiently handling complex, sensitive, and/or policy related issues professionally and accurately.
The role is service focused and contributes to a positive applicant experience through accurate, timely, and well organised delivery of defined activities. While working with limited supervision due to the standalone nature of the post, activities are undertaken within established processes, with objectives, priorities, and escalation routes clearly defined.
Successful candidates may be expected to be on campus full time during the initial induction period. Hybrid working may be available following this initial period and can be discussed at interview
