Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Prepper/Polisher to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and polishing vehicles to meet quality standards, ensuring a smooth production process. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen eye for detail and a strong work ethic to develop their skills within a dynamic environment. The position is paid and suitable for those seeking steady employment.

Responsibilities

Prepare metal or other materials by cleaning, grinding, and smoothing surfaces using hand tools and power tools
Polish components to achieve specified finishes, ensuring consistency and quality
Assist in the setup and adjustment of polishing equipment as required
Perform heavy lifting of materials and finished products safely and efficiently
Maintain a clean and organised work area to uphold safety standards
Follow safety procedures at all times, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and quality targets

Skills

Knowledge is essential for understanding equipment operation and maintenance
Proficiency in using hand tools such as files, scrapers, and sanders
Experience with power tools including grinders, polishers, and drills is desirable
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively
Strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality finishes
Good organisational skills with the ability to follow instructions accurately
Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks throughout the shift
