Job Description:
Role Purpose
Bolt Pharmacy is on a charge. We will be the largest provider of life changing GLP-1 medication in the UK and beyond. In order to get there we are building a World Class Team.
We are looking for a hands-on Operations Team Leads in our dispensary, across various shifts, to support the Site Operations Lead in delivering safe, efficient, and well-structured dispensary operations.
This role focuses on workflow coordination, rota accuracy, attendance and performance management, and first-line team supervision, ensuring the dispensary runs smoothly, safely, and in line with SOPs and regulatory standards.
You will play a key role in maintaining structure, accountability, and clear escalation within a fast-paced environment. You will be accountable for the performance and delivery of a specified area of the warehouse, ensuring we are able to consistently delight our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Site Operations Lead in overseeing end-to-end dispensary workflow
- Ensure tasks are clearly allocated and completed in line with operational priorities
- Identify workflow gaps and escalate promptly
- Support coordination during high-volume periods and backlog clearance
Rota Accuracy and Attendance Control
- Maintain accurate, real-time rota tracking
- Ensure all staff attend, log in on time, and confirm presence
- Monitor and record lateness, sickness, and absence
- Ensure records are accurately maintained on BrightHR
- Flag discrepancies immediately
Team Supervision (First-Line)
- Provide day-to-day supervision on the dispensary floor
- Conduct first-level conversations on attendance, conduct, and performance
- Reinforce expectations around SOP adherence, productivity, and professionalism
- Escalate ongoing or serious concerns appropriately
Escalation and Communication
- Act as a first point of escalation for operational issues
- Proactively flag staffing gaps, workflow delays, and performance concerns
- Ensure issues are escalated early, clearly, and with context
- Support alignment between dispensary, floor management, and wider operations
Compliance and Governance
- Ensure all operations follow SOPs, GPhC standards, and data protection requirements
- Support implementation of operational controls and tracking systems
- Escalate any risks relating to patient safety, compliance, or operational failures
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience as a Team Lead/Supervisor in an operations setting
- Experience in fast-paced operations such as logistics, warehousing or distribution
- Strong organisational and coordination skills
- Experience managing rota, attendance, and workflow
- Confident handling first-level performance conversations
- IT literacy, with high attention to detail and accountability
Desirable
- Familiarity with BrightHR or similar systems
- Experience in online or high-volume pharmacy settings
- Understanding of SOP-driven and regulated environments
